Welcome to the
Indian River Woodshop. In my shop
I discovered a love for woodcarving ten years ago. Combining woodcarving with my interest in the Native peoples of the the United States, I have endeavored to capture the strength and wisdom of the Native Americans in my carvings. You can see some of these carvings on my Gallery pages: Native Americans.
(A list of all my pages can be found in the box with the blue writing in the margin at the left. Just click on the small triangles next to the headings to bring up a list of other pages. Each triangle will bring up another triangle.)Lee's Santa
I also carve a lot of Christmas items. I specialize in Santa Claus carvings. They have become very popular and are in high demand especially around the Christmas season. Film and television actress Lee Garlington purchased this blue ribbon Santa Claus in Cottonwood bark recently (See photo to the right.) You can see more santa carvings on my Gallery pages: Santas/Holiday. Snoozing Santas
I also carve statues of the saints and am at work on a large statue of Saint Edmund of Canterbury for Saint Michael's College in Vermont and have recently completed a beautiful Rabbi for friends of mine for Hanukkah.
All of the carvings on my Gallery pages are for sale with the exception of those that are marked "Sold". If you are interested in purchasing one of my carvings, please contact me using the information on the Contact Page. Please keep in mind that each carving is a hand carved and hand painted original. Although I can carve something similar in design, no two pieces are ever exactly alike. Therefore, if you see something you like, it would be a good idea to purchase it as soon as you can. Once it's gone there wont be another one exactly like it again.
